Yes, I’m talking about Dimensity 9400 & 8th Gen Elite. These chipsets are a little different. We’re entering the era of AI & these flagship chipsets are going to support AI. So the specifications of the flagship phones are going to be different. In the coming days, I’m going to tell you about the phones that are going to be launched on 8th Gen Elite or 9400.

And what’s the difference between the previous flagships. If you compare it with the 2024 flagship, then I’m going to tell you how the 2025 flagships will be different. So read carefully till the end, it’s going to be a fun.

First of all, I’d say that the year 2025 can be said to be the age of Ultras. Because every brand that launches flagship phones, will now launch Ultra. This trend has been increasing for the past 2 years & in 2025, nearly all brands are going to launch Ultra. So we’re going to see a lot of Ultra. And when I’m talking about Ultra, then 2 things are going to be taken into consideration. The specs of the cameras are going to be amazing. The output is going to be closer to real good DSLR cameras. And we’re already seeing that & it’s going to go further. So in Ultra, you’re going to get the latest & greatest cutting edge.

The 2nd change that we’re going to see in the flagships is that Android phones are going to be closer to iPhones. Till now, we were seeing that the brands in the flagships preferred curved displays. But now, we’re going to see a flat design. We’ve already seen this with the X200 which has been launched in China. And according to the other rumors & leaks, the flagship phones are going to be flat. Yes, they’ll be curved but they’ll be micro curved displays. The pronounced curved displays are not going to be there anymore.

So that’s the difference we’re going to see. And another important thing is RAM. Because I talked about AI, the flagships will start from 12GB & they’ll probably have 16GB. We might see a phone which has 24GB RAM, but it’s going to have at least 12GB RAM. That’s important if you want to run AI on a device. It really takes a lot of RAM. And I’m liking this because after many years, we’re seeing some things in the battery that have changed. And that’s the capacity. Like earlier, the battery used to be 5000mAh in normal flagship phones.

Now it’s going to be 6000mAh. I won’t be surprised if a flagship phone comes with a 6500mAh battery. And another trend that I’m liking is OS updates. 2 years ago, if we used to get 1-2 year updates on Android, we used to say that it’s good. But now it should be 5 years. So all flagships need to have a minimum of 5 years of updates. So if you’re spending Rs 80-90K, you’ll be able to use it for 5 years. Because you’ll get the major updates for 5 years. Samsung has announced 7 years. So think about it.

So the other brands should give at least 5 years. But because of AI, RAM, and the cost of the chipset, your flagships are going to be more expensive. In fact, if I try to quantify, I’d say that compared to the previous flagship, this year, the price is going to be at least 15-20%. And that is significant. And another thing that I think is going to happen with flagship phones is that different form factors are going to come. Like in the X200 series, we saw that the Mini has been launched. So now there’s going to be a Mini & Ultra.

So there are going to be different sizes of flagship phones. And that is good. I’d like to say about Asus that they’re trying to bring a small phone with the Zenfone. But now in all flagships, you’ll get a small form factor, a big form factor & a medium one. Which is excellent. So yeah, that is what it is. These are some things that I wanted to say. I’m also going to tell you which phones are going to come. But let me tell you that these 2 chipsets are super duper powerful. If I talk about Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, then it scores above 10K on the Geekbench in multi core.

If I talk about Dimensity 9400, it touches 3M Antutu scores. I mean that is crazy! First, I’m going to tell you which flagship phones are going to come on Snapdragon 8 Elite. So let’s talk about that. If I talk about all flagship phones, then the iQOO 13 will be one of the most inexpensive flagship phones. So if the rest of the phones are going to launch at Rs 80-90K, then the iQOO 13 will be Rs 60-65K. Last time it launched at Rs 50K, I’m talking about the iQOO 12

But according to me, the iQOO 13 will come closer to Rs 60-65K. That is what I’m expecting. And there’s going to be a 2K display, BOE AMOLED panel, a 51MP triple camera setup & a 6100mAh battery. It’ll launch in India in the first week of December. The 2nd phone that comes immediately after Snapdragon 8 Elite, whenever 8th Gen 2, 3rd Gen or 8th Gen are launched, is the Xiaomi 15 series. So Xiaomi 15 & Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Both of them are going to be on the Snapdragon 8 Elite. But I’d like to say something here,

because there are different form factors, sizes, Ultra, Max, Pro & base variants. So generally, brands prefer the Ultra or Pro to be on the 8th Gen. And Dimensity 9400 will be on the base variants, the non-Pro variants. Again, there’s going to be a 1.5K AMOLED display, 8th Gen, 50MP, 50MP, triple 50MP cameras, Android OS 2.0 which is based on Android 15. It has a 5500mAh battery & 90W charging. Obviously, it’ll support 50W wireless charging. But it won’t come this year, it’ll launch in India in Jan &

Feb 2025. It’ll launch in China immediately, but it’ll be launched in India later.

Similarly, OnePlus 13 flagship is going to be launched. It’ll have a 6.8” 2K BOE X2 LTPO AMOLED display. It’ll come on Snapdragon 8 Elite with a 50MP triple camera setup & a 6000mAh battery. And this is going to launch around Jan 2025. Now let’s talk about the big one, Samsung S25 Ultra. It’s going to be on different chipsets, whereas the S25 Ultra is going to have a 6.9” 2K LTPO AMOLED display. It’ll have a 200MP primary sensor & a 5000mAh battery.

But yes, S Pen, Galaxy Eye, etc are going to be enhanced. It was launched in Feb, but it’s been launched in Jan this year. So it’s going to launch in the 2nd or 3rd week of Jan 2025. And just like that, ASUS launches a big phone in a year. So ROG Phone 9 will come with a LTPO 165Hz display, it’ll be a gaming centric phone with 24GB RAM. It’ll have a big battery, generally they give 6000mAh before this. So it might be a 6100mAh, 6200mAh or even 6500mAh battery. It’s launch is also going to be in Jan 2025.

Other phones that can come on the 8 Elite are the X200 Ultra & Dimensity Pro. The normal X200 is on the Dimensity 9400. But the X200 Ultra will definitely be on the 8 Elite. Honor Magic 7 Pro & Realme GT 7 Pro have already started leaking. So that’s also going to come on the 8 Elite. But let’s talk about the Dimensity 9400. It’s already been launched, X200, X200 Pro, Mini & X200 Pro. But all of them were launched on the Dimensity 9400 with a quad curved AMOLED display.

So you’ll come to know, the camera is really exciting. Out of all the videos I’ve seen, the camera has definitely improved. It also has a 6000mAh battery. ZEISS Optics is going to have a partnership & it’s a very close & good partnership. Now let’s talk about the Oppo Find X8 series. Not 8, but the Oppo Find X8 series. Dimensity 9400 on Find X8 series, LPDDR5 RAM type, UFS 4.0 storage type & 6000mAh battery. So that’s also going to be interesting. These are the flagship phones that are going to be launched in the next 1-2 months.

On these new chipsets that have just been launched. It’s an exciting time & one thing is definitely visible. The popular flagship phones will be those which work seriously on AI & run seamlessly on flagship phones. Software updates will be similar, even in hardware they’ll be pretty good. But in AI side, what they can do & how much improvement can be seen in the camera. These are the 2 things that are going to decide which is going to be the flagship winner of 2025.
